The mission of the ACCESS Research Laboratory is to create practical, yet impactful, research that advances climate and environmental sciences through sport, recreation, and physical activity, and foster engagement with these research efforts to improve the wellbeing of people and planet.

The ACCESS Research Laboratory has three main goals:
To understand the environment’s roles in sport participation and health disparities.
To leverage sport’s informal, educational settings to improve climate and environmental knowledge and behavior changes.
To explore organizational and policy decision-making to improve both social and environmental inclusion and development.
